Private-Label Trailblazer Goes Green

Due to its environmentally friendly undertakings, the private label food-maker Trailblazer Food Products has received financial reward.

The firm is one of the most prominent producers of private label groceries in the west of the United States. The Energy Trust of Oregon has granted it $67,000 for taking steps to reduce its carbon footprint, which included the installation of LED lights and motion-detectors, as well as upgrading an air compressor vital to the firm's machinations.

As a consequence of the reduction in energy required to produce its foodstuffs, Trailblazer anticipates that it will achieve a return on its investment within the next three years.

Rob Miller, its CEO said, "but the biggest benefit is running an effective business efficiently. Sustainability is very important to us. All our employees are committed to the responsible use of resources, and we will continue to look for ways to increase our efficiency and decrease waste."
