Ahold Delhaize Reaches Three-Quarter Mark On Share Buyback Programme

Ahold Delhaize is now more than three quarters of the way through its share buyback programme, after the group announced the repurchase of 1,444,189 of Ahold Delhaize common shares in the period from August 21, 2017 up to and including August 25.

This means that the total number of shares repurchased under this programme to date is 40,172,740 common shares for a total consideration of €753 million.

The shares were repurchased at an average price of €16.46 per share for a total consideration of €23.8 million.

The repurchases were made as part of the €1 billion share buyback programme announced on December 7 of last year.
