Alnatura Opens Seventh Organic Supermarket In Hamburg

German organic retailer Alnatura has opened a new supermarket in Hamburg, Germany.

This will be the retailer's seventh store in Hamburg. It has a retail space of 590 square metres, and will sell the usual ‘comprehensive and varied range’, with over 6,000 products. The market will create 13 new jobs.

The new store also features a bakery counter, with hot beverages and snacks which can be enjoyed in-store or for take away.

Retail Focus

On the opening day, 1 June, the retailer carried out its 'Alnatura Stadtprojekte' fundraising campaign for three non-profit organisations. It also had a ‘welcome discount’ of 10% on almost all of its items.

Alnatura built the supermarket with a heavy emphasis on sustainability. All materials used to furnish the store are renewable products which were created in an energy-saving manner.
