Italian supermarket chain U2 Supermercato has started selling fresh vegetables online through Amazon Prime Now, reports Distribuzione Moderna.

A selection of seasonal vegetables is packaged in boxes under the retailer’s private-label brand, L’Orto de il Viaggiator Goloso, which can be ordered online and delivered directly to the customer. The products can also be purchased in U2 Supermercato stores in Milan, Gaggiano and Magenta.

Two different assortments are available for customers, in three-kilo and six-kilo packages, which vary every two weeks, depending on the seasonality of the products.

Inside the boxes, customers will find a selection of fresh vegetables, such as tomatoes, oranges, aubergines, courgettes, cucumbers, onions, various types of salad, and other fresh produce.

The packages also include information about the products, as well as recipe suggestions.
