CGF Releases Programme For Sustainable Retail Summit 2017

The Consumer Goods Forum has released the official programme for the Sustainable Retail Summit 2017, which will take place on 2-3 October in Montreal, Canada.

This is the second year of the summit, which held its inaugural event in Paris last year, with two days of talks and workshops on socially and environmentally sustainable business solutions.

This year's event features speakers from some of the world's biggest retailers and suppliers from more than 25 countries, including Metro, Marks & Spencer, Pepsico, Kellog's, Walmart, Nestlé, and Tesco.

The summit will be opened by Dirk van der Put, president and CEO of McCain Foods, and will feature a keynote address from Sam D. Kass, former White House Chef and first US Senior White House food policy adviser.

The focus will be on three major challenges facing the industry: eradicating forced labour, reducing and measuring food loss and waste, and supporting healthier diets and lifestyles.
