Reckitt Benckiser Appoints New Chief Information and Digitisation Officer

Consumer goods firm Reckitt Benckiser has named Filippo Catalano as its new chief information and digitisation officer and a member of the company’s executive committee, effective 1 April 2021.

He will be responsible for driving the company’s information technology and digitisation transformation.

Extensive Leadership Experience

Catalano brings extensive leadership experience in defining and shaping the IT, digital portfolios and technology-enabled new business models across leading consumer goods organisations.

Most recently, he served as SVP and chief information officer of Nestlé S.A., where he led the entire IT function for the company at a global level.

He played an important role in the modernisation of technology platforms, data processes, digital capabilities and technical skills.

Before joining Nestlé, he worked with Procter and Gamble in various IT roles across the world.

He led various digital transformation projects for key brands and corporate initiatives during his tenure with the company.

‘Key To Being Successful And Agile’

Reckitt Benckiser CEO, Laxman Narasimhan, welcomed Catalano to the company and said, “Building and maintaining a competitive, leading-edge IT and digital capabilities are key to being successful and agile.

“Developments over the last decade and now - whether it's the growth of e-commerce, the power of data analytics, social media pervasiveness or more recently the need to remain connected virtually - all further highlight that the IT and digital function is the backbone and engine of growth of RB. Additionally, technology underpins our ability to create new businesses and new business models for our increasingly digital consumer.”
