Reckitt Benckiser Names New Chief Supply Officer

British household goods maker Reckitt Benckiser has announced the appointment of Sami Naffakh as its new chief supply officer, effective 1 July.

He will also be a member of the company’s executive committee.

International Leadership Experience

Naffakh has more than 25 years of international leadership experience in fast moving consumer goods and has been a part of companies such as Unilever, Danone and Estee Lauder.

Between 2003 to 2009, he held several leadership roles in Reckitt Benckiser.

Most recently, he served as the executive vice president of Arla Foods and was responsible for heading its supply chain operations at a global level.

He also managed the company’s procurement of goods and services, as well as support functions such as quality and food safety, health and safety, and sustainability.

'Sustainable Growth'

Commenting on his appointment, chief executive officer, Laxman Narasimhan, said, “I’m very pleased that Sami [Naffakh] has decided to rejoin RB at this pivotal time for our company. As we continue to ‘navigate our new normal,' we must also start to focus on our medium-to-longer-term supply needs across the entire, diverse portfolio.

“We will build on our momentum and invest to create a highly capable, global supply function to meet our strategic ambition of transforming the business and positioning RB for sustainable growth.”
