Albert Heijn Begins Trial Of Online Career Management Tool

Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has announced that it has started the trial of its online career development tool, Tiptrack, with 400 employees.

It will enable the employees to manage their career goals and keep track of their development in the organisation.

The 400 employees will also receive a personal training budget of €175, to spend in the shop.

How It Works

The interactive tool evaluates the working day of employees through a set of questions, and then provides personal tips and advice from experts.

Employees can also access a range of tests, tools and training modules related to career development through its online shop.

The director of human resources at Albert Heijn, Nic Brassey, said, 'The world, and with it, our work, is constantly changing. We want to give our colleagues the opportunity to get the best out of themselves, to grow, and to do what they like the most.”

With more than 950 outlets and around 100,000 employees, it is a favoured employer for part-time positions.

The retailer invests in various career development initiatives, like summer camps, sporting activities, creative exercises, and conversations for its employees.
