Private-label manufacturers, retail and wholesale buyers, and other retail industry operators are eagerly awaiting this year’s PLMA World of Private Label trade show in Amsterdam.
The 2014 international event will run from May 20–21 at the RAI Exhibition Centre.
The very latest innovation in private label will be showcased in Amsterdam at the event.
The winners of the first International Salute to Excellence Awards for private-label product innovation will be announced on Monday, May 19 - the day before the actual exhibition opens.
All winning retailers and accompanying own-label products will then feature in a special display at the product trade show.
Nearly 40 retailers from across 15 countries have already submitted food and non-food products in the award categories with judges meeting in April to decide the winners.
The panel judging the competition include product specialists, culinary institutes, trade journalists and industry executives in private label food and non-food sectors.
This year’s event expects to attract more than 10,000 visitors from over 100 countries, according to event organisers.
With nearly 4,000 exhibit stands on the trade show floor this year, visitors would be well advised to study the plans of the various sections and stands in advance of the show.
