Beam Suntory Appoints Albert Baladi As Chief Operating Officer

Spirits company Beam Suntory has appointed Albert Baladi, current president of its international business, to the newly created position of chief operating officer and president of the Americas.

Baladi will oversee the company's global commercial operations, in addition to succeeding Tim Hassett as leader of the Americas region.

The new COO has 30 years experienced in the packaged good industry. He joined Beam Suntory from Yum! Brands in 2011, before becoming president, international in 2015

Pryce Greenow is now set to take over Baladi's former role. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Beam Suntory, which produces brands such as Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Kabukin whisky, and Courvoisier cognac, has made a number of recent executive appointments.

Last month, the drinks company announced that it is promoting Marc André Tousignant to the position of chief financial officer, effective 1 January 2018.
