Dublin-based C&C Group plc has announced the appointment of Vineet Bhalla as an independent non-executive director.
The appointment, effective immediately, follows a thorough recruitment process led by the group's nomination committee, in conjunction with the international executive search firm Audeliss.

Bhalla has over 25 years of experience across multiple sectors, including consumer goods, retail, health, and defence.
Most recently, Bhalla served as chief technology officer and a senior vice president of Burberry plc.
He previously held global roles for Unilever as head of IT for their digital marketing and research and development divisions and led data-driven and digital transformations at scale.
Bhalla is also a non-executive director of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and serves as chair of the Trust’s People and Culture Committee.

C&C Group operates a portfolio of brands such as Bulmers, Tennent’s, Magners, as well as a range of premium and craft ciders and beers, such as Heverlee, Menabrea, Five Lamps, and Orchard Pig. C&C exports its Magners and Tennent’s brands to over 40 countries worldwide.
The group owns manufacturing and packing operations in Co. Tipperary, Ireland and Glasgow, Scotland.
In March, the company announced that it is taking a 'series of proactive steps' to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on its operations, including a cost reduction programme that is set to deliver savings of €18 million per year.
