Pop The Champagne! Veuve Clicquot Launches Podcast Series

Veuve Clicquot, the Champagne brand from French luxury group LVMH, has launched The Veuve Clicquot Tales , a podcast series recounting the life of Madame Clicquot, one of the first businesswomen in 19th century France.

In a series of 15 episodes, each lasting five to seven minutes, the podcast series aims to tell the life of one of the matriarch of the popular Champagne brand.

After her husband, François Clicquot, died, she was entrusted with running the entire Champagne business founded by her father-in-law, at a time when women in France could not even open a bank account under their name; something that would only be possible more than a century later, in 1965.

Madame Clicquot left a mark in the French entrepreneurial history, and since 1972 Veuve Clicquot has set up a yearly award to women CEOs and executives for outstanding achievement called the Business Woman Awards.
