FrieslandCampina has laid down plans to open a new Innovation Centre in Wageningen, the Netherlands, next month.

In a short statement on their website, the company said that the completion of the new centre brings together most of FrieslandCampina’s research and development activities under a single roof.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands will officially open the new innovation centre on Wednesday 16 October.

The FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre is located on the campus of Wageningen University. It accommodates 450 staff, 350 of whom are R&D personnel who will have access to approximately 18,000 square metres of laboratories, test areas and a pilot plant.

The dairy group recently opened a new development centre in Singapore. The new facility will focus on the development of dairy-based beverages and infant and toddler nutrition.
