Heinz To Bring Mayochup Sauce To Britain After Twitter Poll Success

Ketchup maker Kraft Heinz has decided to bring its new Mayochup sauce to the UK, reports Mail Online.

On 17 September, Heinz announced that it was going to launch its new Mayochup sauce in the US after conducting a social media poll.

The campaign generated almost one million votes, with 500,000 votes in favour of its introduction.

Twitter Poll In The UK

Twitter users were quick to make their thoughts of the sauce heard after Heinz tweeted that if it got 50,000 votes it would bring it over.

While many were quick and desperate to snatch it up, many argued that it 'should not exist'.

As of 3:00pm on 20 September, the poll has received 106,434 votes, but the divisive condiment has only received 57% of the in-favour votes.

With four days to go for the poll, the sauce has received 60,667 votes in favour of its introduction.
