A uniquely-shaped metal can design, which was jointly designed and manufactured by Ardagh, has been used by Mead Johnson for the launch of its infant nutrition product in the Asian market.
The can, which was formed using a process called 'mechanical expansion', is sealed with a tamper-evident Easy Peel opening solution, embossed with the Mead Johnson logo. It is produced at Ardagh's production facility in Hoogeveen.
"We value our strategic relationship with Mead Johnson and our close cooperation in supply chain, quality and innovation which has led to this uniquely shaped can innovation," said Ewoud Vriens, Commercial Director Nutrition at Ardaghs Metal Division.
"For this project, together with our R&D Centre in Crosmires, France, we aimed to create a truly distinctive packaging that would achieve clear differentiation, convienence and impactful shelf standout."
