Amazon Extends Whole Foods Prime Now Delivery Service To Five New US Cities
E-commerce giant Amazon has launched Prime Now delivery of Whole Foods products in Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and San Antonio.
Amazon Prime members in these five cities, in addition to 14 other US cities, can avail of Prime Now delivery services for fresh produce, meat and seafood, everyday staples and other locally sourced items.
Expanding Grocery Delivery to More Cities
The partnership between Prime Now and Whole Foods Market was launched earlier this year, and has continued expanding to more cities in the US. On 13 June, Amazon announced a similar expansion of its Prime Now services to Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Richmond.
The delivery service, now available in 19 cities across the US, is available daily from 8am to 10pm.
On orders costing $35 or more, customers are eligible for free two-hour delivery, while it costs $4.99 for one-hour delivery. On purchases of less than $35, two-hour delivery costs $4.99 and one-hour delivery costs $9.99.
Customers can visit www.primenow.com or download the Prime Now app to enter their zip code to check if they are in the delivery area.
In May, Whole Foods debuted a loyalty programme in Florida that offers special discounts to Amazon Prime customers, including 10% off hundreds of sale items and rotating weekly specials.
