L’Oréal Western Europe Head Of Marketing To Take Sabbatical
Cosmetics giant L'Oréal has hired a new chief marketing officer for Western Europe after the announcement that Hugh Pile, who currently holds the role, is to go on sabbatical leave, according to CampaignLive.co.uk.
Though Pile is to be replaced by Stéphane Bérubé, L’Oréal Canada’s chief marketing officer, he will continue to work for the French cosmetics maker for a small number of days per month. What position he will fill upon return has not yet been stated publicly.
Blue Sky Holdings
Pile is to assume the role of chief sales and marketing officer at his family-owned Blue Sky Holdings, an importer of fresh produce and fruit juices for Waitrose, Amazon Fresh and others.
“After much deliberation, Hugh has decided to take a one-year sabbatical to help accelerate the branding elements of his family business [Blue Sky Holdings],” a L’Oréal spokesperson told Campaign Live.
“We completely respect and understand Hugh’s decision and are very happy to support him in this exciting new enterprise.”
