Bosnia Gets New National Supermarket Chain

Bosnian trading company As Group has opened its first supermarket under the brand Bazar, promising that the new store in Sarajevo will offer producers in Bosnia and Herzegovina the opportunity to sell their products at a fair price, without any restrictions and additional costs.

It says that the Bazar supermarket offers a wide range of goods, primarily high-quality domestic brands, at favourable prices and with constant promotions.

The plan for the supermarket was announced last year, when As Group leased stores previously used by Slovenian retail chain Tuš, which left the Bosnian market at the end of 2014.

With this initiative, As Group hopes to boost quality domestic production and employment in the region by protecting existing jobs and creating new ones.

As Group manufactures over 400 different food products and owns some of the most popular Bosnian brands, such as Kent, Master, Zlatna džezva, Espresso, Tajna, and Petit biscuits.
