Consumption of goods and services in the Czech Republic in 2016 were recorded at +3.5% against figures from 2015, the Czech Confederation of Commerce and Tourism (CCCT) reported.

The same report outlined rising levels of disposable income with an increase of 4% in the household sector. These increases are noted by the report to be the largest in eight years.

The document suggested further positive signs as the increase accelerated throughout the year with +2.7% year-on-year in Q1 and +4.4% year-on-year in Q4.
