Eroski has invested €6.4 million this year in transforming seven hypermarkets for a new business model "Contigo", which, as reported by europapress.es, now has 23 hypermarkets working under the format.

The recent expansion has created 74 new jobs within the company, and an average growth of 7% in sales.

The seven newly transfomed hypermarkets are located in Bizkaia (Zalla and Txurdinaga), Guipuzkoa (Orzidia, Eibar, Urbil and Urola) and Galicia (Noia).

Eroski has invested €23 million so far, remodelling 23 hypermarkets and creating 258 jobs. The "Contigo" business model focuses on offering a personalised shopping experience for customers, as well as a strong focus on fresh produce.
