Jumbo Wins EY Family Business Legacy Award

Dutch retailer Jumbo has won the 'EY Family Business Legacy Award', awarded for the first time. The company had impressed the jury with its sustainable growth, in financial terms and as a family business - creating the right balance between family- and professional values.

The 'EY Family Business Legacy Award' brings membership of the global Family Business Network and an honourable mention in the International Family Business Yearbook.

In addition, the company can join the Family Business Summit in Monaco and compete for the title of 'EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year'.

"Jumbo is a modern family business. We consider ourselves one family, of 60,000 employees, encouraged to show initiative and take responsibility. In everything we do, we focus on the customer. (...) The EY Family Business Legacy Award is therefore, most of all, a great compliment to all of our employees!" said Colette Cloosterman-van Eerd, CCO of Jumbo Supermarkten.

Jumbo operates around 580 stores, including three Food Markets and has more than 285 Pick Up Points for online orders. It also runs a home-delivery service.
