Sweden's ICA Sees Sales Up 2.9% In November

Swedish retailer ICA Gruppen has seen sales in its stores rise by 2.9% in November, compared to the same month last year. Like-for-like sales were 2.4% higher.

Its Maxi ICA Stormarknad banner saw sales up 2.5%, while ICA Kvantum was up 3.3%, ICA Supermarket was up 2.8% and ICA Nära was up 3.0%.

Sales totaled SEK 8,870 million excluding VAT for the period. As of 30 November, ICA operates 1,297 stores in Sweden.

ICA Gruppen estimates the calendar effect for November to be 0.2%.
