Argos Wityu Acquires Stake In Italy’s Latteria e Caseificio Moro

European private investment fund Argos Wityu has acquired a stake in the Italian fresh milk derivatives producer and distributor, Latteria e Caseificio Moro.

The new stakeholder will focus on organic growth based on its strong relationship with existing clients.

It plans to expand the business in new markets in Europe, leveraging on Argos’ international network and the team’s deep knowledge of the food sector.

Argos Wityu also owns French-based La Compagnie des Desserts, one of the leading European producers of frozen desserts and ice creams for the B2B channel and foodservice market.

A Market Leader

Based in Motta di Livenza in the province of Treviso, Latteria e Caseficio Moro is a leading producer and distributor of fresh cheese in Northeastern Italy.

The company’s distinctive products include mozzarella, ricotta and PDO Montasio cheese sold in Italy, with a specific focus on the foodservice channel.

With revenues over €40 million, the dairy and cheese company boasts of unique production efficiency standards and more than 20-year-long association with its main clients.
