Dutch Retailer Albert Heijn Rolls Out Additional Self Scan Service

Albert Heijn has announced that it is adding a new self scan service to stores giving customers the opportunity to use a scanner or a smartphone to scan and pay.

So far, two Albert Heijn branches (located in Wageningen and Amersfoort) have launched the new system and have noted a 95% positive customer feedback.

The company has announced it will roll out the new service to the other stores as part of the stores’ scheduled refurbishment.
