Aryzta's European Chief Hilliard Lombard Steps Down

Frozen bakery giant Aryzta has announced that its head of Europe and Asia Pacific, Hilliard Lombard, is to leave the company at the end of January.

Aryzta confirmed that Lombard, who has been with the company since 2004, has decided to "pursue other interests".

Following Lombard's departure, Dermot Murphy, MD of Aryzta Food Solutions, and Frank Kleiner, MD of European/APAC Bakeries, will report directly to CEO Owen Killian.

"I want to recognise Hilliard and acknowledge his invaluable contribution to Aryzta," said Killian. "Hilliard has been instrumental in making Aryzta a stronger, better and more relevant business.

"He rapidly extended his reach to provide thought leadership and play a key role in investor relations, acquisitions and organisation development.  He has been a passionate advocate of best practices and process optimization.  We wish Hilliard and his family all the best in the future."
