Campbell Promotes Three Executives To Leadership Team

Campbell Soup Company has announced the appointment of three of its strategy executives to Campbell’s leadership team. Bob Furbee, Jim Sterbenz, and Emily Waldorf, have all been promoted to senior roles in the company.

CEO Denise Morrison said, “We are elevating these roles in recognition of the strategic importance they play for our business and our growth plans. Bob, Jim and Emily are exceptional leaders who have made many significant contributions to Campbell during their careers. Each brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our leadership team".

“Developing our supply chain capabilities for future commerce, unifying our sales teams across divisions, and leveraging corporate strategy to identify and act on growth opportunities are key to our strategic imperatives. The appointments are part of Campbell’s efforts to build new capabilities, become a more agile and efficient company and deliver exceptional customer and consumer experiences.”

The Team

Bob Furbee, 55, becomes senior vice president, Campbell Soup Company and senior vice president, global supply chain, effective 1 June 2017. His aim is to create an integrated global supply chain organisation designed to deliver new capabilities and efficiencies to drive growth. Furbee originally joined Campbell in 1984 and has held various roles at the company.

Jim Sterbenz, 51, will assume the role of senior vice president, US sales, effective 15 June 2017. Sterbenz will aim to create a single, integrated US sales organisation for retail sales across all of Campbell’s US business units. He is now responsible for driving sales capability and customer focus. Sterbenz joined Campbell in 2006.


Emily Waldorf, 39, will also assume her new role as vice president of corporate strategy to the Campbell leadership team, effective 15 June 2017. Waldorf will direct enterprise strategy development, planning and measurement. She manages key initiatives that span the company and also develops comprehensive external development strategies. Waldorf joined Campbell in 2012 as director of corporate development, responsible for business development and merger and acquisition activity.
