Albert Heijn Introduces A Range Of Take-Away ’Hot Meals’

Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has introduced a range of on-the-go hot meals in five of its ‘to go’ outlets in Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Eindhoven.

Customers can choose from a range of 25 on-the-go warm dishes that are suitable for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Meals On The Go

Director of Albert Heijn to go, Jan-Willem Dockheer, said, "We see that consumers are increasingly used to eating on the way. That is no longer just a cup of coffee or a sandwich.

"Also in the evening, for sports or a theatre performance, they are looking for a tasty, warm meal that they can eat while traveling. We now fill this need with a wide range of hot dishes."

Some of the items include pancakes and egg muffins, soups, quiches, and toasted sandwiches.

The retailer aims to expand the service to more Albert Heijn to go outlets in the country, based on customer response.
