Discover The Vegan Brands And Products Driving The Free-From Sector At FFF&HI

Free From Functional & Health Ingredients (FFF&HI), Europe’s leading innovation platform for the free-from industry, is showcasing a dedicated vegan conference programme at Gran Via Fira de Barcelona on 28 and 29 May 2019.

Making an Impact

One of the fastest-growing free-from categories, the plant-based revolution is receiving increased attention in all mainstream retail and foodservice channels.

Meat substitutes grew by 451% in the European market in the four years to February 2018. Reflecting the dominance of this market, almost 40% of all free-from food exhibitors at the show are vegan producers or traders.

A Collaborative Platform

Organised with new partners to FFF&HI 2019, ProVeg International and Union Vegetarian Española (UVE) will host a dedicated V-Label Area showcasing vegan certified brands.

More producers than ever are looking to nutritious alternatives to meat and dairy, bringing together science and plant-based ingredients to develop authentic flavours and texture.

“Value sales within the meat-free market are forecast to increase by 44% by 2023, to reach £1.1 billion,” says Ronald Holman, event director. “To reflect the enormous potential of this market, FFF&HI is partnering with ProVeg, a leading international food awareness organisation, tackling the urgent problem caused by our food choices.

“This focus on the evolving vegan market will enable visitors to discover the product segments that are characterised by strong growth and high returns, as well as providing an opportunity to seek expert advice from leading professionals within the industry.”

Major Event

Up to 4,500 visitors, including international trade buyers, 350 producers, manufacturers, and key global industry figures, are expected over the two days in Barcelona.

The new show format includes a wide range of dedicated features that enable visitors to maximise their visit to Barcelona. A further three conference programmes deliver a packed schedule of keynote talks and seminars.
