Ce.Di. Sigma Campania Teams Up With MOF Fondi For Sourcing Fruit And Vegetables

Italy's Ce.Di. Sigma Campania, a subsidiary of D.IT Group, has announced a partnership with MOF-Centro Alimentare all'Ingrosso di Fondi to source and sell fruit and vegetables under the MOF/Sigma brand.

The collaboration will also see MOF Fondi streamline the management and distribution of fruit and vegetables across its network.

The agreement is part of Ce.Di. Sigma Campania’s strategy of territorial expansion, coupled with strengthening and streamlining its supply dynamics.

About The Partnership

The partnership will allow Ce.Di. Sigma Campania to offer a 'competitive and quality service' across its commercial network and cater better to the needs of its consumers.

It will also create growth opportunities for all participants in the supply chain.

MOF-Centro Alimentare all'Ingrosso di Fondi is one of Italy's largest centres for the collection, packaging, and sorting of fresh fruit and vegetables.

MOF Fondi's location, situated midway between Rome and Naples, is also an added advantage as it is placed in one of the most important sites for fruit and vegetable production in the country.

In June of last year, D.IT-Distribuzione Italiana said that private label sales across its business were up 20% last year, with own-brand items now being purchased by 90% of shoppers.

The group, which had a network of 1,200 stores as of 2021 across nine different trading banners, Realco, Consorzio Europa, Cedi Sigma Campania, Coal, San Francesco, Distribuzione Sisa Centro Sud, Sisa Sicilia, Supercentro and Europa Commerciale, reported an overall turnover of more than €3 billion last year.
