PLMA Announces Details Of 'World of Private Label' Pre-Show Seminars

PLMA has announced details of its pre-show seminars at the World of Private Label event, taking place in Amsterdam at the end of May.

The seminar programme will take place on Monday 30 May, in the RAI Exhibition Centre's Forum centre.

A major piece of research, undertaken for PLMA by SurveyLab, is set to be launched at the event, which will illustrate how consumer buying behaviour has been affected by the pandemic.

Some 6,450 consumers in eight different countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden and The Netherlands, took part in the survey.

On The Agenda

Elsewhere, Sebastiaan Buchholtz, senior analytical consultant at NielsenIQ, will give an overview of the latest country-by-country market share data and trends over the past year, while a presentation on the topic 'State of Grocery in Europe: Navigating the Market Headwinds' will be given by Francois Videlaine and Sebastian Gatzer, partners at McKinsey & Company.

The pre-show seminar programme will also see the announcement of the PLMA International Salute to Excellence Awards, which honour retailers for excellence in private label product development.

The theme of the 2022 PLMA World of Private Label trade show – the first in-person hosting of the event since 2019 – is 'Connect. Source. Grow.', and around 2,500 exhibitors from 70 countries are expected to take part.

Also set to feature at the event is the PLMA Idea Supermarket, where visitors can browse the private label product ranges of more than 60 retailers from around the world, as well as the winning products in PLMA’s 2022 International Salute to Excellence Awards.
