7-Eleven Sets Corporate Social Responsibility Targets

Convenience store giant 7-Eleven has announced that it is working with non-profit group Conservation International (CI), on a corporate social responsibility initiative to reduce its environmental footprint.

The retailer will focus on three areas as part of the CSR initiative: planet, products and people.

Among the initiatives being undertaken are a targeted reduction in the group's environmental footprint in its offices and stores by 20% by 2025, and a reduction in packaging of 20% by 20205.

“These goals are specific and measurable,” said Joe DePinto, 7‑Eleven president and chief executive officer. “We’ve already taken important steps to reduce our carbon footprint, and these new targets will help us focus our efforts to make even greater strides.”
