In its global operations, Auchan Retail is currently undergoing a transformation plan, with the aim of making its retail banners more homogenous, and placing greater emphasis on the Auchan brand.

As part of these scheme, the group yesterday announced that it was establishing a new management committee, to create a more international and 'close-to-the-ground' leadership team.

Country directors, including Ionut Ardeleanu, director of Auchan Retail Romania, were appointed to this committee, led by the group's managing director Wilelm Hubner.
