Poland’s Eurocash Group has announced that its supermarket chain Delikatesy Centrum has launched a ‘click & collect’ service.
The service will enable customers to order online and pick up their purchases from any of the 1,200 Delikatesy Centrum outlets across Poland.
The online offer includes approximately 6,700 products and customers can pay in the store while collecting their orders.
How It Works
Customers are required to visit the Delikatesy Centrum website and choose their nearest store before completing their shopping lists.
Staff members then reach out to customers via phone to confirm the availability of items on their shopping lists and suggest alternatives in case of unavailable products.
The customer receives an e-mail notification and a text message with details about the collection process.
The service allows one-off purchases worth PLN 50 to PLN 300.
The retailer takes a maximum of five hours to process the order, and customers have 24 hours to collect it.
'Quick And Safe Shopping'
Noel Collett, general director of Delikatesy Centrum, said, “The introduction of the click & collect service is our response to the needs of consumers in connection with the coronavirus epidemic, but also of our customers - franchisees running Delikatesy Centrum outlets.
“This solution allows for quick and safe shopping, also reduces the time spent in the store, and provides our customers with another solution that can increase their competitiveness on the market.”
