Dixy Group Acquires 12 Kaliningrad Properties

Russia's Dixy Group has acquired 12 real estate properties, including premises from supermarket chain Sedmoy Kontinent, in the Kaliningrad region.

The deal was signed in Moscow on 13 December, and is in line with the Dixy Group's development strategy for its Victoria chain.

The 12 properties, totalling 30,000 square metres, will supplement the group's existing Victoria, Victoria Kvartal, Dyoshevo, and CASH stores.

“I am pleased that now more Kaliningrad customers will have a chance to use our services and enjoy shopping at our supermarkets. Our objective is to improve efficiency of operations in the key regions and the announced transaction provides for further implementation of this strategy. Most of these properties will soon change their signs to Victoria’s 'green apple'," commented Sergey Belyakov, general director of DIXY Group.

Financial details were not revealed.
