Marks & Spencer has announced two new roles in its Retail, Operations & Property leadership team, with Will Smith joining the retailer as its property director and Helen Milford joining as retail director.

Smith is joining the business from Asda, where he previously held the position of vice president of real estate, facilities and market development, while Helen Milford is joining from Sainsbury's/Argos, where she was a director of retail on the group's management board.

Both Smith and Milford will report to Sacha Berendji, Marks & Spencer's retail, operations & property director.

'Fit For The Future'

“Building a store estate that’s fit for the future with industry-leading store operations and empowered colleagues is a key part of our transformation programme," Berendji commented.

"We are building a world-class team across M&S and I’m delighted to welcome Helen and Will to the business as we drive our transformation forward at scale and at pace.”
