Portugal's Go Natural Expands Physical, Online Presence

Portuguese organic supermarket chain Go Natural is planning to expand its retail presence as well as introduce a wider range of products.

As well as operating 12 stores Go Natural also distributes its products to more than 100 supermarkets throughout Portugal.

Around 30 Go Natural SKUs are available in the food to go sections of Continente, Continente Bom Dia, Continente Modelo, My Auchan and Go Natural stores.

The company's intention is to further expand distribution in the retail channel, namely in 50 stores belonging to its parent company Sonae MC.

On the product development front, the group plans to introduce 15 new SKUs to its meal, soup and juice ranges. Currently, Go Natural offers more than 4,000 organic and healthy product references.

In June, Go Natural launched an online store offering more than 1,500 SKUs, which are available for pick-up at the store or via home delivery, in Lisbon, Cascais, Porto and Matosinhos.

The delivery service covers an 8 km radius from each supermarket and pick-up is offered daily until 19:30, while same day delivery is possible for orders placed until 13:00.
