Retail Technology Firm NCR Granted LGBT-Equality Honour

Retail and services technology firm NCR Corporation has achieved a perfect score of 100 on the annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a US-based benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality.

The survey is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Georgia, USA-based NCR is one of 517 companies to be named on the annual list for 2017.

“We are very encouraged to be named a ‘best place to work for LGBT equality’, as this is a strong reflection of our core values,” said NCR executive vice-president of the Chief Administration Office and chief human resources officer Andrea Ledford.

“NCR is committed to being a globally inclusive company, where all our employees are treated fairly, recognised for their individuality, promoted based on performance, and encouraged to strive to reach their full potential.”

Across retail, hospitality, travel and other industries, NCR systems enable more than 550 million transactions daily, with the company present in 180 countries around the world.
