Unilever Spain Offers 500 Jobs Through Soy Frigo 2016 Programme

Unilever will offer Spanish youths up to 500 jobs at its Frigo business, through the second edition of its programme for young employment and entrepreneurship, called Soy Frigo.

According to granconsumo.tv, the 2015 edition of the programme offered 400 jobs throughout the country and allowed young job-seekers to engage with the jobs market and become more employable. Currently, Frigo has received over 3,700 online applications from people wanting to take part in this year's programme.

Participants in the programme will tend to mobile ice cream point of sales in the main tourist destinations in Spain. The point of sales will include food trucks, trailers, bicycles and ice cream carts.

A Unilever spokesperson said, "last year we launched the Soy Frigo program with the objective of offering job opportunities and training to young people, [...] to limit the effects of the job shortage that we've been suffering in recent years".

He also explained that Unilever plans to reinforce the communication channels between the business and the community through the programme.
