Heineken Names New Chief Supply Chain Officer
Heineken N.V. has named Magne Setnes as the new chief supply chain officer of the company, effective April 2020.
Presently, he is the general manager of the brewer's Austrian division, Brau Union AG.
Setnes joined Heineken in 2000 and has held several senior international leadership portfolios across supply chain, commerce, and general management departments in the Netherlands, the United States, and Austria.
He is to succeed Marc Gross, who will retire in April after 15 years as the chief supply chain officer.
'High-Performing Supply Chain'
Chairman of the executive board and CEO, Jean-François van Boxmeer, thanked Gross for his contribution to the company.
"Marc has been critical for managing the growth of this company. While our volumes and number of breweries and brands grew significantly in the last 15 years, he made the complexity of our global supply chain feel easy," he added.
"Thanks to Marc and his global teams across our regions, we now have a very high performing supply chain organisation."
Elsewhere, Ronald den Elzen has joined the company's executive team in the newly created role of chief digital and technology officer.
Most recently, den Elzen served as the managing director of Heineken USA.
He has spent 25 years with the brewing giant in various top roles including that of the finance director of the Netherlands and the UK.
He also served as the managing director of Sociedade Central de Cervejas, the company’s Portuguese arm.
