Walmart Black Angus Beef Patties Pulled After Contamination Fears

Nearly 90,000 pounds of Walmart's  Sam’s Choice Black Angus Beef Patties have been recalled because they may contain traces of wood, time.com and Reuters report.

The batches in question have use-by dates of May 17 2016, May 29 2016 or June 6 2016, and should be returned or disposed of, says the US Department of Agriculture.

The meat products, which retails exclusively in select Walmart hypermarkets, are supplied by the Huisken Meat Company.

Walmart has issued instructions to remove the potentially contaminated products from its shelves.
