Colruyt's Cru Wijnegem To Relocate To Central Antwerp

Belgian retailer Colruyt Group has announced that its Cru supermarket outlet in Wijnegem is to relocate to Groenplaats square in central Antwerp.

Cru is the fresh-produce supermarket chain of the Colruyt Group, and operates outlets in Ghent and Overijse.

The new indoor market in Groenplaats is scheduled to open on 21 February 2019.

Better Footfall

Business unit manager of Cru, Jo Spiegeleer, said, "It is our firm belief that we can reach even more customers at Groenplaats than in Wijnegem.

"A central location like this in the city centre, with a large footfall, is ideal for a retail concept such as Cru."

While the outlet in Wijnegem has been shut, customers from Antwerp can still visit the store to pick up their orders, or have their shopping home-delivered through the shopping platform, Apporto.
