Spar International has revealed that is bringing new-concept instore bakeries to customers in Austria nationwide.
As well as offering a wide selection of oven-fresh products, Interspar hypermarkets now also offer large bread products including full loaves.
Eight company-owned bakeries deliver products daily to Interspar hypermarkets as well as Spar and Eurospar outlets.
“We want to inspire our customers – not only with taste but also with the craftsmanship of our bakers. In all Interspar Hypermarkets, customers can now experience the art of baking by instore bakeries”, said an Interspar Austria spokesperson.
“Our customers can see as we ferment and bake our breads and pastries. This clearly distinguishes us from our competitors. We do not just crisp up our baking goods, we actually bake it instore.”
Concentrated Activity
The year 2017 has already been a busy one for Spar Austria. It opened a new EuroSpar in Wolfsberg-St.Johann earlier this year, and launched a new animal-welfare brand, Tann-Heimathöfe, in partnership with regional pig farmers in Niederösterreich.
It also introduced a range of traditional seed varieties, packaged and promoted under the brand name 'Spar Wie Früher' ('Spar As Before').
