The way of collecting wages is undergoing a transformation in Spain, where more and more companies have opted to offer flexibility to their workers through Wages on Demand.
This is the case with Bonnysa, one of the leaders in fruit-and-vegetable agriculture, which has incorporated a mobile application to allow its workers to be paid whenever they want.
The initiative to include this tool comes from the group’s human resources department, which is actively looking for benefits and solutions that meet the needs of its workers.
According to Gloria Llatser, Human Resources Director at Bonnysa, “We want people to want to be part of Bonnysa, so it is very important for us to offer them job opportunities that allow them to grow professionally and personally.
“We have different initiatives to offer benefits to our employees and their families, such as educational opportunities and partnerships with public and private entities, so that they are eligible for a range of services.”
The new social benefit enjoyed by Bonnysa employees is Payflow, a mobile application that enables them to manage their salary privately, instantly, and completely free of charge, as the company contracts the service.
This means that its more than 1,600 workers will no longer have to wait until the end of the month to collect their salary, as they will be able to access the portion corresponding to the days already worked through the app to cover any needs that arise during the month, and without the need to incur any debt or seek another solution to access money, such as a credit or loan.
According to Avinash Sukhwani, co-founder of Payflow, “The reception of our solution in Bonnysa has been very positive. In only two months since its implementation, one out of three employees already has our app on their mobile.”
Llatser added, “Payflow has been a very innovative tool that aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are very excited about the excellent acceptance it has had among our employees.”
