Belgium's Colruyt Group has announced that it has added a new feature to its Xtra app that enables customers to easily refuel their vehicles in DATS 24 stations.
The three-step process focuses on speed and simplicity, allowing customers to drive in, select the pump, refuel the vehicle, place the nozzle back, and drive off.
The Process
Customers with an active Xtra payment function can directly open the app, click on the tank function, and choose the pump number.
It automatically registers the petrol station where the user is located.
Once the process is complete, a mobile invoice is shared with the customer.
The amount is debited from the user's account on the following day, and the refuelling information is stored in the Xtra customer profile history.

Business unit manager of DATS 24, Raf Flebus, said "The process of refuelling a vehicle is hardly ever considered as something pleasant. With the help of the easy-to-use Xtra app, DATS 24 wants to change this.
"We also want to be relevant for younger customers. For them, digital payment has become the norm wherever they are."
The retailer rolled out the feature after a successful test run involving 80 employees.
