DIA Expands Amazon Prime Now To Valencia

Spanish retailer DIA Group has announced the expansion of its Amazon Prime Now online purchase and delivery service to Valencia.

The service has been expanded from Madrid and Barcelona, after positive reactions from customers in those cities, the retailer said.

Amazon Prime Now’s fast delivery service allows for customers to receive their order at a location of their choice and within one or two hours, between 10am and 12pm, seven days a week.

Online Service

All Prime customers can make their purchases online or download the Prime Now app, for iOS and Android devices, in order to check the postcodes where the service is available and then receive a notification when Prime Now is enabled in their region.

The retailer entered a collaboration with Amazon Prime Now back in September 2016.

Last year it extended the offering through its virtual store La Plaza de DIA.

The Spanish retailer also collaborated with Jeff Bezos’ e-commerce giant to introduce Amazon lockers for flexible order collection at 13 of its La Plaza de DIA stores in Madrid.

“This new partnership with Amazon fulfills the objective within DIA Group of placing the customer at the center of our decisions and enables us to offer new services that are convenient and simple to make their lives easier,” the group said when it rolled out the lockers last November.
