Aldi Süd Founds New Coffee Company

German retailer Aldi Süd has announced that two of its coffee producers in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Ketsch will join together to create a new coffee company.

The business will operate under the name 'NewCoffee' as an independent subsidiary of the Aldi Süd group.

External Growth

The retailer says that the aim of this move is to further exploit the external marketing potential of its coffee brands. The coffee is currently sold in Aldi's stores, but the entire product range will now be available to external customers.

"Our roasted coffee is very popular with local and international customers," said Michael Körnig, head of NewCoffee.

"For this reason, we have decided to found an independent company, which is able to provide external customers with the best possible coffee. We are sure that NewCoffee will be very successful."
