Spanish retailer DIA has announced the launch of its Clarel range of own-brand products in Germany, Italy, France and the UK, through an online store on Amazon’s Marketplace.
The range includes the brands Bonté, a personal-care and hygiene brand, as well as Baby Smile and Junior Smile, two infant-care brands.
Clarel is a DIA Group brand that specialises in beauty, health, personal-hygiene and household products. It boasts more than 1,000 physical stores throughout Spain.
The online store will offer more than 100 different SKUs and be complemented in the Spanish market with the Clarel.es online store, which ships its products from a warehouse located in Almunia de Doña Godina, in Zaragoza, to all parts of the country.
The creation of the store is the latest collaboration between DIA and Amazon, following previous agreements that have seen DIA utilise Amazon Prime Now services in Madrid and Barcelona. The service enables customers to choose from around 5,300 SKUs and avail of a delivery time of two hours or less.
DIA’s gross sales under banner stood at €10.5 billion at the end of 2016, and the company operates 7,799 stores in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina and China.
