Carrefour Spain Opens New Supeco Store

Carrefour Spain has announced the opening of a new Supeco store in the town of Leganés.

The 1,575 square metre store employs 46 people, while also providing indirect employment for 90 people in the area.

The store is positioned to offer 'the most aggressive retail prices for fresh and packaged food products', and works with local and regional suppliers to deliver products 'from the field to the table', according to a Carrefour statement.

Approximately 7,000 SKUs will be available in the store.

Similarities

'Aesthetically speaking, Supeco Leganés looks more like a “cash and carry” than a conventional supermarket', Carrefour said in a statement.

'The company has simplified both product packaging and presentation as much as possible, as well as lighting, decoration and furnishings in the store, without neglecting product quality.'
