Supermarket chain Coop Netherlands has hired Profitero to help utilise its online competitor pricing intelligence.
Profitero can already count Delhaize Belgium, Waitrose, Morrisons and Ocado as some of the leading retailers already leveraging its price intelligence solution.
The Dutch supermarket turned to the firm after its previous data supplier experienced issues in reliably collecting competitor pricing intelligence.
Specialising in retail pricing, Profitero eliminates the manual process of gathering competitive pricing information from other retailers.
Bert Nijland, Commercial Operations Manager at Coop Netherlands, said, "We spoke to various suppliers who were offering online price collection and product matching. According to consumer watchdog IGD, the Netherlands is one of the top markets in the world for growth and grocery sales will rise significantly over the next five years from €0.5 billion in 2015 to €2 billion by 2020.
