Dutch retailer Jumbo has announced that it will open its sixth store under the Foodmarkt banner in Tilburg in the Netherlands, on 21 November.

The store, spread across an area of 3,000 square meters, will offer Jumbo groceries as well as numerous international and national dishes, prepared by chefs and food specialists in the La Place world kitchens, at affordable prices, the retailer said.

It will also house one of the largest fruit and vegetable departments in the Netherlands. Customers can buy fresh La Place bread from its bakery as well as other local products.

The outlet will also offer a food café with 165 seats, where customers can enjoy meals prepared in-store.

'Real Food Experience'

Commenting on the new opening, the CCO of Jumbo Supermarkten, Colette Cloosterman - van Eerd, said, "Jumbo Food Market Tilburg offers a real food experience where the best of both Jumbo and La Place come together."
